The European Commission is inviting 12 start-ups (6 African start-ups and 6 European start-ups) to pitch online during the 7th EU-Africa Business Forum (EABF) on Monday, 26 October 2020. The online pitching sessions will give the start-ups the opportunity to showcase their services and technology to investors and decision makers.
The deadline for submissions is the 25 September at 24:00hrs CET.
Every three years, the EABF brings together African and EU business and public leaders from various of organisations to discuss ways to improve the investment climate and increase sustainable economic cooperation between the two continents. The European Commission (EC), the African Union (AU), and African and EU business organisations jointly organize the Forum.
The 7th EU-Africa Business Forum (EABF) will be held online this year on 26 and 27 October 2020. The event will immediately precede the 2020 AU-EU Summit. The focus of the 7th EABF will be to contribute to urgent COVID response; support AfCFTA implementation and the green transition; improve trade and investment climate between the EU and Africa; reinforce high level public private dialogue; enhance long-term dialogue structures between EU and Africa businesses.
EABF2020 will be a decisive moment for senior political and business leaders, policy makers and other stakeholders to review all strategic aspects of the EU-Africa relationship.
The EU-Africa Business Forum (EABF) takes place every three years back to back with the EU-Africa Summit. The 6th EABF was held in Abidjan in November 2017. It is a main event of public-private dialogue between the EU and Africa at continental level and aims at increasing opportunities of sustainable economic cooperation.
