Support to PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) in its mandate of financing SDG infrastructure projects in Indonesia

Summary:

This project aims to facilitate access to credit for infrastructure projects contributing to sustainable and low-carbon growth in Indonesia and support the SDG Indonesia One initiative. Particularly targeting SDG goals relating to climate and social inequalities.

The project will support the financing by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (PT SMI) of infrastructure projects with clear climate or SDG related benefits, with a focus on increasing the bankability of small renewable energy projects:

• €2 million in grants will target project sponsors to stimulate investments facing higher financial barriers
• €3 million of Technical Assistance will go to project preparation and strategic capacity building for PT SMI
