A four-day "Training Course for Team Leaders at Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Incident Sites" was held on 9-12 April 2018 at the Lambak Kanan Fire and Rescue Station, Brunei Darussalam. A total of 25 participants joined the training, namely from the Royal Brunei Police Forces, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Fire and Rescue Department and the Ministry of Health.

On behalf of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, the French Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam, H. E. Christian Ramage, delivered the opening remarks at a Training Course for Team Leaders at the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Incident Sites at the Lambak Kanan Fire and Rescue Station, Brunei Darussalam, on 9 April 2018.

This activity comes under the EU CBRN Risk Mitigation Centres of Excellence (CoE) Initiative which is implemented in eight regions worldwide, including South-East Asia where the 10 ASEAN member countries collaborate bilaterally with the support of the Regional Secretariat in Manila, hosted by the Philippine government.

The four-day training provided particularly practical exercises for the 25 participants from the Royal Brunei Police Forces, the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, the Fire and Rescue Department and the Ministry of Health.
