Thursday 29 September 2016 | Opening the 2016 Conference on EU-India with Manish Sisodia, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi; Cesare Onestini, EU Deputy Head of Delegation underlined that ''cooperation between institutions of higher education and the exchange of scholars and students play a crucial role in enhancing mutual knowledge and better understanding of India and the EU, and of its people''.
Event held in the National Institute of Oceanography in Goa, India and organized by the Indigo Policy and Inno Indigo projects with support from the European Commission. SMEs, researchers, and policy makers will join the two-day long event.

On 1 June 2016 India announced its subscription to the Hague Code of Conduct against Ballistic Missile Proliferation (HCoC). This step will contribute to enhancing transparency and security among States in South Asia and beyond. All States which have not yet subscribed to the Code of Conduct, in particular those possessing space launch vehicles and ballistic missile capabilities, should follow this example.
