European Film Festival 2021

The European Film Festival is back for its second edition from 10 June – 10 July 2021.
The Festival will be held digitally on the VOD platform Festival Scope. 20 films feature in the line-up, which viewers will have the chance to screen for free all month long.
The Festival is divided into two distinct sections: a contemporary segment with cinema from across Europe, in genres including drama, comedy, documentaries and shorts. Having travelled extensively on the festival circuit, these films have received numerous awards starting at Cannes and Venice, through San Sebastián, Thessaloniki and Berlin. Viewers can Sign up here, and watch all films at their convenience for the duration of the Festival.
A special section on biodiversity, curated by CMS Vatavaran, will take viewers on a journey through hitherto unexplored ecosystems, highlighting the rich diversity of nature and wildlife in regions from the Himalayas and the Western Ghats, to the plains of Central Europe. Particularly relevant given present environmental and climate crises, these films offer a unique cinematic lens to show how communities across the EU and India are working towards the protection of biodiversity hotspots.
