Benoit Sauveroche, first counsellor at the Delegation of the European Union to India stated: "The Internet of Things represents a tremendous potential for generating powerful innovative solutions and addressing the environmental challenges that our cities are facing. In order to reap this potential, we need bright people and a conducive environment, avoiding fragmentation of the world of the Internet of Things. The hackathon gives young innovators the opportunity to materialise their concepts within this global standard for interoperability."

Swayan Chaudhuri, Managing Director & CEO, Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited stated, “The Smart City Mission in Goa is excited to engage with young and brilliant minds. This is an opportunity to solve real life problems through critical, innovative and ‘out of the box’ thinking, to generate solutions that will positively impact the quality of life of citizens and to make a powerful and impactful contribution in the development of this nation. The Smart City Mission is expecting some innovative, revolutionary ideas and replicable solutions to emerge from this version of the Hackathon.”

The winning team shall get a fully paid trip funded by the European Union to attend a leading startup event in Europe.
