The Delegation composed of six members: Ms. Vicky Ford (IMCO Chair), Ms. Evelyne Gebhardt (Vice-President of the EP), Mr. Andreas Schwab, Ms. Olga Sehnalova, Ms. Marlene Mizzi and Mr. Ivan Stefanec.
Mrs Vicky Ford MEP, who chairs the Committee said "We have been extremely impressed by the very positive meetings including meeting with three government ministers and two parliamentary committees. There are many areas of common interest such as delivering on digital ambitions, qualifications and issues affecting consumers, all contributing to an increased EU-India strategic partnership. "
The delegation covered regulatory issues in areas such as services, standardisation, customs and consumer protection. In particular, MEPs were informed about the progress made by the Indian customs authorities (including the management of port controls and relevant customs IT systems) and visited start-up incubators and an Info-tech park in Mumbai.
