Dear Icelanders far and wide, the EU Delegation to Iceland wish you all a very happy National Day.

For over 30 years, Iceland, the European Union and its Member States have had a close and successful cooperation. Iceland is an important partner of the EU in the EEA-cooperation, Schengen, and trade. Together we have contributed to better living standards to our citizens through increased trade and cooperation in the fields of education, science, research, innovation, culture, security and defence, and more.

We are grateful for the close cooperation and our unity around fundamental values of democracy, human rights, the rule of law, equality and peace.
