Europe Day 2025 - Celebration of Europe's Rich Cultural Diversity! Reykjavik Art Museum - Kjarvalsstadir

Join us for a lively family-friendly celebration of Europe’s rich cultural diversity! Europe Day 2025 offers a varied program for all ages – featuring live music, art exhibitions, delicious European delicacies, and fun activities for children.
Music Program will showcase a variety of European musical performances, including:
- Mosfellsbær Brass Band
- Students from the Reykjavik Music School
- Hörðuvallaskóli School Choir
- Singers Magdalena Urbanek and Bryndís Ásta Magnúsdóttir
- Pianists Magnús Þór Sveinsson and Márton Wirth
All guests will have free access to two fascinating exhibitions at the museum:
- Kjarval and the 20th Century: When Modernity Took Hold
- ÓLGA – The Pioneering Role of Women in Icelandic Art in the 1980s
Embassies of Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Poland, Spain, and the Romanian Consulate will set up booths where guests can learn more about these countries and taste delicious treats from each.
Rannís – The Icelandic Centre for Research will be present to provide information about exciting European funding opportunities available to Icelanders, including grants for students, artists, entrepreneurs, and researchers.
Children can enjoy face painting, crafting, and fun European-themed activities and games.
Pancakes, coffee, and fruit juices will be served – while supplies last!
The event will kick off at 2:00 PM with speeches from Þórunn Sveinbjarnardóttir, Speaker of the Althing, and Clara Ganslandt, Ambassador of the European Union.
The event is open to all and free of charge – no registration required!
Europe Day 2025 is organized in collaboration with the Reykjavik Art Museum.

The event starts at 14h00 with a performance by Mosfellsbær Brass Band, followed by speeches by Þórunn Sveinbjarnardóttir, the Speaker of Parliament, and Clara Ganslandt, EU Ambassador to Iceland.
