Ambassadors of EU Member States Meet with the Prime Minister of Iceland

On Monday, June 16 2025, Prime Minister Kristrún Frostadóttir was the guest of honour at the annual meeting of Ambassadors of EU Member States accredited to Iceland, held at the House of Collections in Reykjavík. 

 

 

The annual meeting of Ambassadors of EU Member States accredited to Iceland was held in the House of Collection on Monday, June 16 2025. The guest of honour at the meeting was the Prime Minister of Iceland, Kristrún Frostadóttir. 

The Prime Minister gave an overview of her Coalition Government's main policy objectives and priorities and discussed with the Ambassadors, among other things, recent Icelandic political developments, defence and security, and the EEA cooperation. 

Ambassadors from 20 out of the 27 EU Member States attended the meeting in Reykjavík this year. Attending were the Ambassadors of Poland, Denmark, Ireland, Lithuania, Greece, Italy, Latvia, the Netherlands, Estonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Finland, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia, France, the Czech Republic, Sweden, Spain and Hungary. 

The meeting was chaired by the Ambassador of the European Union to Iceland, Clara Ganslandt.
