European Union booth at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2019!

For the third consecutive year, the European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao will host a booth at the Hong Kong Book Fair. We will host activities such as a book reading by the Consuls General of the European Union, presentations about its Member States and the special participation of the EU Price of Literature winner Selja Ahava. The booth is open from 17 to 23 of July at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macao is hosting a booth at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2019!

For the third year, the EU Office will have a joint booth with the participation of the Consulates General of Austria, the Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Italy, and the Netherlands. Other Member States such as France, Spain, Germany and Portugal will also have separate booths.

From 17 to 23 of July, join us at booth A16 [Hall 1A] to discover our free seminars, games and activities for all.

We will showcase publications about the European Union, cook books with European recipes, books on studying in Europe, children's books and many more. Member States that are co-hosting with us will also have publications from their country such as travel books, maps, literature and even promotional games.

We will host several events and games at the booth and in meeting room S222-223, including book signings and 'meet the author' events:

Reading by the Consuls General: On Wednesday 17 July, the Consuls General of France, Greece, Spain, Poland and Austria, as well as a representative from Italy will do a book reading from 15:30 to 16:00 in Hall 1A

Discover Europe: Six European Consulates will give a short presentation about each Member State on 21 July from 15:30 to 16:30 in Hall 1A.

Seminar: The EU Prize of Literature winner Selja Ahava will talk about her experience and discuss her book "Things that Fall from the Sky". She will also talk about how fiction can be autobiographical. The seminar will take place on the 22 July from 15:00 to 16:30. Meeting Room S222-223.
