New Consultancy Opportunity – Environmental & Social Studies in Ghana

The Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) of Ghana, with funding from the European Union and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD), is inviting Expressions of Interest for consultancy services to carry out Environmental & Social Impact Assessments (ESIA), Environmental & Social Management Plans (ESMP), and Resettlement Action Plans (RAP) for small-scale irrigation infrastructure in the Upper West Region.

This consultancy is part of the Agricultural Water Management Project (AWMP), which aims to boost agricultural incomes, promote climate resilience, and support sustainable growth in rural Ghana. The scope includes 13 dam sites across 11 districts.

The AWMP aims to increase climate-resilient agricultural incomes for smallholder farmers by providing sustainable infrastructure, improving access to water for agriculture, and supporting institutional capacity building.

Applicants must demonstrate experience in at least four similar assignments over the last five years (each worth at least €200,000), covering ESIA, RAP, livelihood restoration, stakeholder engagement, and compliance with international environmental and social standards.
