President of the European Council Charles Michel visits Georgia

On Monday 1 March 2021, the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, visited Georgia as part of his visit to three countries in the Eastern Partnership.

During his visit, President Michel met with President of Georgia Salomé Zourabichvili and Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili

President Michel visited the administrative boundary line, with colleagues from the European Monitoring Mission to Georgia.

The visit of Charles Michel to Georgia ended with a mediation meeting between the Georgian Government and opposition parties, as an attempt to move forward and encourage to political dialogue.
