Representatives of the European Union, the Bulgarian Chamber of Education, Science and Culture, International Agency of Quality Assurance InAQA as well as of the Kyrgyz expert community will meet to launch a new project "E-Quality" digital education for social and financial inclusion and gender equality.

International labour migration of Kyrgyz population is one of the most crucial issues for the country. On the one hand, it is ensuring the economic stability of the country, and on the other hand, generating challenges for the social, cultural, and educational areas of Kyrgyzstan.

The new project will focus on developing skills in digital and financial literacy, entrepreneurship and leadership among the most vulnerable groups of young migrants from three pilot regions - Issyk-Kul, Naryn, and Osh. It will also contribute to achieving Kyrgyzstan’s National Development Strategy and Sustainable Development Goals.

The target groups are young labour migrants with low qualifications; girls and young women with limited access to formal education and skills development; family members of young migrants as participants in the process of external migration; government agencies responsible for supporting young labour migrants, as well as educational organisations of various types.

The project will develop/adapt digital training modules that allow migrant workers to improve skills and receive consultations, regardless of the mode and place of work.

Interactive applications and virtual monitoring systems will be created using elements of artificial intelligence for convenient training. Also, in several areas, tools for digital assessment and certification of skills will be developed. It will allow employees to receive documents on improving their skills, taking into account the National Qualifications Framework of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The development of training modules and evaluation materials will be created with the active involvement of government agencies, foreign and national experts, representatives of local governments, diasporas of migrant workers, educational organisations, and other stakeholders.

During the online coordination meeting, participants will discuss and clarify the tasks, work plans, and expected project results.

The project "E-Quality" digital education for social and financial inclusion and gender equality” is funded by the European Union. EU financial contribution is around 900 000 EUR. Duration of the project is 30 months.
