The European Union in Georgia

 
Over the past weeks, the EU Delegation to Georgia and team Europe have continued supporting Georgia in its efforts to combat COVID-19, together with our project partners including delivering direct support like medical equipment or by providing additional grants for farmers. We also look back at the support provided by our Local Action Groups.
We have also celebrated Europe Day virtually, with statements from the EU Ambassador and Team Europe, but also with strong support from Georgian politicians and society. The EU also issued congratulations to Georgia on its National Day.
Today we are launching a new website, with collected information on over 160 EU-funded projects and their activities - eu4georgia.ge. The website will continuously be updated with relevant information on projects’ activities across Georgia.
As always, a full and comprehensive list of COVID-19 related actions is available on our website.

    The Kviratskhovloba Convent was established in 2018 in the village of Mirzaani, 22 km from Dedoplistskaro. There are only four nuns in the convent at the moment, who have opened a sewing workshop, where local girls and women can learn the skills.

    Giorgi Avchaleli, 32, is from the village of Marabda of the Tetritskaro Municipality. Over the years, he and his father have successfully run a local agriculture machineries store.
