Call for ideas: Cultural Historical Objects Support
Your ideas matter! Let’s keep together culture and history alive!
People on both banks of the Nistru river are invited to identify cultural heritage objects in their neighborhood that need restauration and propose their vision on the need and impact of such an initiative on the cultural heritage, by filling a simplified application form.
The Call for ideas is launched within the framework of the EU fund for conservation-restoration of cultural heritage, as part of the EU Confidence Building Measures Programme (EU-CBM).
One of the EU-CBM objectives is to support the conservation and restoration of historical monuments of national importance and of smaller scaled historical heritage endangered which are considered to have a national historical interest for both banks of Nistru. In addition to Bender Fortress and Chisinau Circus, where preparation processes have already been launched, the programme intends to support up to ten smaller scale heritage objects by allocating up to 40 000 EUR per object.
The current call for ideas is announced as a first stage to identify a wide range of the initiatives in the area of cultural heritage. The EU CBM Programme team will process the applications as per below criteria, conduct site visits to verify the information submitted in applications and clarify restauration possibilities and potential. Based on this process, a second stage will be launched, where the best ideas will undergo an online voting procedure (50% of the final score), combined with professional opinion of EU CBM Cultural Heritage Monitoring group (50% of the final score). Once the ten objects are selected, EU CBM will in initiate the restauration procedures.
The call is open to any individual or a collective who wants to propose an idea to be further supported by EU-CBM Programme.
Proposed idea should comply with the following criteria:
Preliminary deadline for submitting applications: 31.01.2020
Finalization of shortlist: 15.02.2020
Launch of the Second Stage: 20.02.2020

Multiple entries are permitted as an individual or as a collective.
EU CBM Programme will inform about the application process and based on the number of applications the decision will be made on possible extension of the deadline for applications.
