Under this phase, 558 participants will be trained in Business Planning in Eastern Georgia: Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti and Kakheti. 2 groups will be trained in Tbilisi as well. For the training, a special module has been developed for focusing on the organisational structure of cooperatives, current situation in the sector, economic environment analysis and state regulation regimes along with other relevant topics. This phase of trainings will end on 4th of March 2017. Participants will receive a guideline on business planning, which they can consult in future upon need. Upon the conclusion of the course cooperative managers and members will be awarded certificates of the participation in business planning training.

“Cooperative managers often lack experience in managing of organizational process of agricultural cooperatives. Therefore, it is important that they are introduced to the internal rules and state regulation regimes through the training, which will give them an opportunity to properly plan the work and to become more profitable.”- says the head of the Agricultural Cooperatives Development Agency Mr. Giorgi Misheladeze.

This phase follows earlier trainings by EVOLUXER for cooperative managers and members in different modules in all regions of Georgia: 410 individuals were trained in Taxation and Financial Accounting; 888 in 4 Basic Modules of Cooperation, 360 in Business Planning in Western Georgia. Special technical trainings in Hazelnut Production and Hazelnut Primary Processing were also held to 171 managers and cooperative members.

All trainings are held in the framework of EU’s ENPARD programme. Implemented since 2013, the main goal of the ENPARD programme is to reduce rural poverty in Georgia through support to rural development and agriculture.
