The annual Social Entrepreneurship Forum took place as part of EU-funded project "Social Entrepreneurship - Innovative Approach for Economic and Social Changes", running until 2019 with a total budget of 600,000.00 EUR.

The forum hosted newly established and existing social enterprises, with NGO and other businesses invited to participate as well. This year, participants exchanged experiences from the field, awarded Social Enterprise of the Year and Start-Up Social Enterprise of the Year, and presented the newly established "Social Enterprise Alliance". The idea of the Alliance comes from previous year's Forum and aims to develop supportive environment for social enterprises. The Alliance will provide its members with training and counseling, advocacy and research activities, inter-sectoral cooperation and partnerships.

Social Entrepreneurship Forum has been held annually since 2012 by Center of Strategic Research and Development of Georgia in collaboration with partner organizations. The forum aims to improve collaboration and relations between entrepreneurs and organizations working on the issue, to promote the concept of social entrepreneurship and its development in Georgia.

The Forum was organized in the framework of the EU and Bread for the World (Brot fuer die Welt) "Social Entrepreneurship - Innovative Approach for Economic and Social Changes".  The aim of the project  is promotion of social entrepreneurship as a wheel for enhanced non-governmental sector capacities in meeting their social and environmental goals and wider economic inclusion of vulnerable groups.
