The Delegation of the European Union (EU) to Japan, with the cooperation of the diplomatic missions of 24 EU Member States, will once again organise the highly successful 'EU Comes to Your School' event, which this year takes 42 diplomats, including 11 Ambassadors, to 49 high schools in 27 prefectures on 7 and 8 November. Twenty-seven of the schools will be taking part for the first time.

Now in its 13th edition, more than 17,000 students will have the opportunity to hear first-hand from European diplomats about the EU and how it works, as well as information on their respective countries.

With the entry into force in February this year of both the Strategic Partnership Agreement and the Economic Partnership Agreement, EU-Japan relations have entered a new era. As the EU steps up its engagement with Asia, notably through its Connectivity Strategy, it is becoming increasingly vital that we reach out to Japan's youth as the decision-makers of tomorrow.
