The team introduced the mission and useful discussions took place regarding policing and SSR in the KRG. The MoI is very interested in receiving support from the mission in particular on tackling domestic violence and crime against females, countering human trafficking, money laundering and organised crime, strategic planning and human rights. EUAM is planning further meetings to Erbil to increase its engagement within the KRG MOI and progress support in line with the Mission mandate.

EUAM also met with senior members of the Coalitions Ministerial Liaison Team to discuss their work in the area and joint EUAM/MLT cooperation. The MLT is very eager to work closely with EUAM in the KRG to maximise progress and support to the MOI.
