Relations between Gabon, Sao Tome-and-Principe, ECCAS and the EU
The partnership between the European Union (EU) and Gabon is based on political dialogue, trade and development assistance.
The European Union (EU) is one of the Democratic Republic of São Tomé and Príncipe’s most important partners. Their relations are based on a regular political dialogue organised in accordance with the Cotonou Agreement.
The Cotonou Agreement also governs the relations between the European Union (EU) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS), although the ECCAS is not in fact a signatory.
