Mr Reinhard Priebe visited Skopje from 5 to 7 December. Mr Priebe headed the group of senior rule of law experts to assess the situation of rule of law in 2015 and 2017. The purpose of this visit was to follow-up on the implementation of recommendations made by the group regarding judicial reforms.

The EU stepped up its support to media freedom and development in the Western Balkans, with a focus on media accountability, funding, capacity building, regional cooperation and young journalists. This was confirmed at the second EU-Western Balkans Media Days conference on 17-18 September in Skopje.
