On 14 May 2018, at 12.00hrs, a launching event of the Gradsko – Drenovo Express Way took place in Rosoman. This new section of the Corridor X is part of the total European Union investments in the country's transport infrastructure, which in the past few years reached almost 325 million euro. This Gradsko-Drenovo project is financed under IPA II programme with a grant of 26.5 million Euros. Its completion is expected in mid-2020. The 15.5 km express way section is part of Branch D of the Corridor X, running from Veles to Igoumenitsa via Prilep - Bitola – Florina, also known as the "Via Egnatia". Corridor X is the most important international route which passes through the country.

This event is part of the "EU for YOU" Transport Campaign which aims at promoting the assistance that the European Union provided in the field of transport, such as construction and reconstruction of motorways, regional and local roads, railway section rehabilitation, renovation of railway stations.
Over the past few years, the European Union invested nearly 325 million euro in country's transport infrastructure. Over 100 km of highway network, 64 km of roads in more than 40 municipalities and 60 settlements, 16 km of railway and 11 railway stations have been built and restored.
Continuing support and investments, which need to provide more efficient infrastructure and energetic connectivity across the region is one of the six priority initiatives in the new EU Strategy for supporting the Western Balkans transformation. It foresees additional EU investments of over one billion euro in the further development and infrastructure of the Western Balkan countries.
