The project aims to produce a two-dimensional virtual reconstruction, authentic to the original, of selected first-category archaeological sites (urban locations from late Roman period).

The project, organized in partnership with Institute for old Slavic culture - Prilep and EU Delegation in Skopje aims to produce a two-dimensional virtual reconstruction, authentic to the original, of selected first-category archaeological sites (urban locations from late Roman period).

The reconstruction will be built through arduous processing of available relevant data on the immovable archaeological cultural heritage and the usage of free software and information on the country’s terrain. The virtual environment will offer access to detailed spatial information on the sites selected for the project. These will include a variety of geographical and spatial information, including development chronology of buildings and settlements, their functions and multimedia data.

Further measurements and analyses will be possible based on these data. The GIS platform will offer potential for integrated access available for usage in promotion and research. Through securing free internet access to part of the resources, the project will enrich the promotion of the country’s European cultural heritage.
