Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission, met today with the Prime Minister of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev. They discussed the latest political developments in the country, the implementation of the government's reform programme as well as plans for 2018.
Next year will offer a unique opportunity to the country and the whole Western Balkans region to advance on the European Union integration path and make the progress irreversible, stressed the High Representative. In this context, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia needs to continue with the reform momentum and build on the positive steps already taken. The High Representative also appreciated the country’s constructive attitude and good progress made so far on good neighbourly relations.
