On Friday, 16 June 2017, at 10.00hrs, Closing Conference of the EU-funded project “Support to the employment of young people, long-term unemployed and women” will take place at the Business Hall of the Skopje Fair.


The project “Support to the employment of young people, long-term unemployed and women (II)” is financed by the European Union within the Operational Programme for Human Resources Development 2007-2013 (IPA Component IV). The value of the project is 2.000.000 Euro.


The overall objective of the project was to integrate young people, long-term unemployed and women in the labour market. The specific objective is to increase employability of unemployed young people, long-term unemployed and women by increasing their competences (knowledge, skills and attitudes). This project is the second Direct Grant Award implemented by the Employment Service Agency since March 2015. About 4500 unemployed people have benefited from the project activities, such as:

- Internships as support to the employment of persons up to 29 years of age aimed to improve the employment perspectives for young graduates by acquiring first working experience.

- Training for skills demanded by specific employer aimed at acquired specific professional skills through in-work trainings.

- Trainings for General Skills aimed to help unemployed persons acquire skills which improve their competitiveness on the labour market, like training for foreign languages or basic ICT skills.

- Trainings for Skills demanded on the Labour Market aimed to train unemployed persons for professional skills that are highly demanded in the labour market.
