On Thursday, 18 May 2017, at 11:30hrs, an event for handover of equipment and 42 vehicles donated by the European Union will take place at the Food and Veterinary Agency.

The equipment and the vehicles in approximate value of one million euro are purchased under the EU funded project “Supply of equipment for official controls for the Food and Veterinary Agency and equipment for the Border Inspection Post Blace and Tabanovce”. The aim is to assist the inspection services of the Food and Veterinary Agency in improving the quality of their work by providing 42 passenger vehicles, one off road vehicle, 197 laptops, 45 PCs, 35 multifunctional printers, two copy machines, hand held readers, office equipment, protective clothing, equipment for the daily use by the inspectors, such as: thermometers, data loggers, PH measuring devices, protective masks, sampling kits, sector probes etc.
According to the highest European and global standards, the new procured equipment will ensure further improvement of the operative work of the inspection services, as well as strengthening the administrative capacities of the Food and Veterinary Agency, resulting with more effective and efficient services provided to the citizens and business community.
