Delegation of the European Union
to the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia

High Representative Mogherini chairs foreign ministers from EU 28 and candidate countries

With the candidate countries, ministers will have a session on a common global approach, on globalisation and how to get the best out of it, Mogherini said. They will also discuss how the European Union can be a strong player in supporting a multilateral system, a rules based global order, especially at the current time.

The High Representative also expressed her concern for yesterday’s unrest in the parliament of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia: “We consider violence always unacceptable, even more so when it happens in the house of democracy, the parliament, and we believe that all in Skopje should follow the constitutional principles, democracy and try to bring the country out of this serious crisis that can be dangerous,” Mogherini said.
