History and nature live together

On Wednesday, 15 March 2017, at 12.00hrs in the Municipal Hall of the Municipality of Novaci, Final Conference of the project "Living History – Living Heritage II" will be organized. The project is funded by the European Union under the IPA CBC Program between our country and Greece.

  • Mr. Dimitros Binos, Mayor of Municipality of Almopia
  • Mr. Lazar Kotevski, Mayor of Municipality of Novaci

The goal of this project is to strengthen the cooperation between the neighbouring municipalities Novaci and Almopia in promoting and protecting the natural and cultural heritage of this cross-border area. For this purpose, strategic partnership between the two municipalities was established. 

 

As a result of the project, three tourist paths were made, biking, hiking and jeep tours were developed, as well as a mobile application for Mariovo and Novaci, in order to facilitate the tourism in the area. In addition, the St. Dimitrija Church was protected inside, there is demining dome in the area of front line of the First World War, and there is a recreation Park in the Konjarka area.

 

The budget of the project implemented by the Municipality of Novaci is 293.036 euro.
