European Film Festival 2025 - Suva & Labasa | Fiji

Bula vinaka and welcome to the fourth European Film Festival in Fiji, a flagship event of the European Union’s cultural calendar.

From May 16 to May 24, the vibrant capital Suva will host a week-long celebration of captivating films at the prestigious Damodar City Cinemas. In addition, following the overwhelming support received in Labasa last year, the Friendly North Town will then join the two-day festivities from May 23, with screenings at the newly built Damodar City, ensuring that more Fijians can immerse themselves in the rich cultural tapestry of Europe. 

 

The European Film Festival is back in Fiji bigger and better than ever! This is a FREE public event showcasing 10 films from different countries with a variety of styles, genres and stories. 

They provide a window to the vibrant world in Europe — from Denmark through Portugal, to Germany and beyond! They give an insight into the lives of Europeans from all backgrounds and show that we all have our own unique stories to tell, but that our humanity is what unites us all.
