The seminar was chaired by the EU Ambassador to Mexico, Klaus Rudischhauser, and brought together European experts in quality policy and food safety, as well as representatives of Mexican authorities, Mexican and European associations, importers, exporters and retailers to discuss quality and sanitary standards, including labelling and traceability, controls, organic products and geographical indications.
During the seminar, the experts highlighted the competitive advantages offered by the modernisation of the EU-Mexico Free Trade Agreement. In addition, participants had the opportunity to learn about the quality, reliability and authenticity of a wide variety of European agri-food products.
