The support to improve analysis, information sharing and monitoring of FN&S factors should ensure that diverse actors involved are better prepared to withstand potential food crises and thus increase the resilience of vulnerable populations, reducing their food insecurity and malnutrition.

The programme intervenes across three different levels by helping governments to

• Collect, analyse and share relevant data on food security, nutrition and resilience factors;
• Better include food and nutrition security and resilience aspects into their policies and programmes;
• Develop and promote early-warning mechanisms to withstand food crisis.
