EU participation to the Green Legacy Event on Aug 23, 2020 at EU Delegation to Ethiopia premises

On 5 June 2020, Ethiopian Prime Minster Abiy Ahmed launched the Second Green Legacy Campaign. The Green Legacy initiative is critical to Ethiopia’s aspirations to build a green and climate-resilient economy and has been linked to the World Environment Day, which also took place on the 5th of June.

L'intolleranza verso religioni o fedi diverse continua a causare conflitti, violando i diritti umani.

Expressing one’s faith should not be accompanied by acts of violence in any part of the world. Intolerance towards different religions or faiths still drives to conflict, violating Human Rights. On the International Day commemorating the Victims of Acts of Violence Based on Religion or Belief, the EU pays tribute to all the victims.

21/08/2020 - Last Monday I opened the Summer University of the Universidad Internacional Menendez Palacio in Santander (Spain). We mostly discussed the consequences of the current crisis for Europe and the world. At this stage, the risk seems serious that it destabilises many developing countries and strengthens a trend towards authoritarian regimes. In this context, Europe has a key responsibility to defend effective multilateralism and help developing countries in need.

On the International Day commemorating the victims of acts of violence based on religion or belief, we pay tribute to those who have lost their lives, who are attacked, threatened or persecuted due to their religion or belief.
