  • Question: Can e-mail submissions of tender documents be accepted?
  • Answer: According to the Invitation to tender: EEAS-598-DELEUAU-SUP-DIR Purchase of 4 off-road cars (4X4 - 4WD) for the EU Del. to AU, and 1 offroad car (4X4 - 4WD) plus 1 pickup (4X4 - 4WD) car for the EU Del. To Ethiopia, there are the following means of submission accepted: post, courier and in person (hand delivery).   • Question: Is diesel engine acceptable?
  • Answer: According to the point 6 of the Tender specifications providing detailed and exhaustive technical specifications and options for the off-road car and for the pick-up 4x4 vehicle the type of required fuel is gasoline for both types of vehicles.

 

  • Question: Is the engine capacity less than 2700 cc acceptable?
  • Answer: According to the point 6 of the Tender specifications providing detailed and exhaustive technical providing detailed and exhaustive technical specifications and options for the off-road car and for the pick-up 4x4 vehicle the minimum engine capacity is 2700 cc.

 

  • Question:  Does Annex 5 to tender specification consist of one page?
  • Answer: Annex 5 consists of one page and represents a declaration on exclusion criteria. Economic operators shall provide a declaration on honour on exclusion criteria duly filled in, signed and dated by the legally authorised representative ( Annex 5). According to point 5.2 of tender specification, "whenever requested by the contracting authority, the candidate or tenderer, as well as all entities which provided the abovementioned declaration on honour, shall provide the supporting documents confirming the declaration on honour". According to point 5.3, tenderers must prove their legal, regulatory, economic, financial, technical and professional capacity to deliver supplies subject to this call for tender by meeting the selection criteria listed in points 5.3.1, 5.3.2 and 5.3.3 of tender specifications. For selection criteria, tenderers shall submit with their tenders all the supporting evidence on selection criteria listed in points 5.3.1, 5.3.2 and 5.3.3 of tender specifications.

 

  • Question: Can the deadline for submission of tender be extended?
  • Answer: The deadline of this tender was extended until 20th August. Please refer to the invitation to tender for the proof of submission on time.

 

  • Question: What is the state of play of the evaluation process and will the tenderers be informed about the outcome?
  • Answer: The tenders are currently being evaluated. All candidates who submitted a tender will be notified about the outcome of the procurement procedure.
