EU Delegation to Ethiopia - Newsletter

The European Union Delegation to Ethiopia is seeking expressions of interest from organizations that can successfully implement Component 3 of the EU Trust Fund funded action 'Stimulating economic opportunities and job creation for refugees and host communities in Ethiopia in support of the Comprehensive Refugee Response Framework (CRRF) in Ethiopia' (https://ec.europa.eu/trustfundforafrica/region/horn-africa/ethiopia/stim...)

2. Background. The EU is committed to support the Government of Ethiopia in its decision to implementing the CRRF and the nine pledges by shifting from a ‘care and maintenance’ or camp-based model of refugee assistance to an approach, which emphasizes refugee self-reliance, refugee mobility in-country and the integration of refugees into regional and national development processes. The intervention logic is that enhancing the capacities of key actors to work along more sustainable and development-oriented lines and supporting individuals among refugees and host communities as well as local business and SME’s will stimulate sustained economic growth and provide economic and job opportunities
