It is with great sorrow that we have to learn about the sad departure of our dear colleague, Amelework. She passed away after short sickness during her stay at the hospital this morning. She worked in European Union Delegation to Ethiopia for the last 40 years.
Christophe Litt is the head of the European Investment Bank representative office to Ethiopia and the African Union. On the heels of announcing loans worth millions of euros in Ethiopia, Litt talked to The Reporter’s Samuel Getachew on the mission of the bank, its many activities in the nation, on its recent investment on M-Birr and why it decided to venture into private investment rather than the public investment it have focused on for the last two decades. The European Commission is inviting young people from around the world to play an active role in this year’s European Development Days (EDD 2018) by participating to the Young Leaders Programme. The European Commission (hereinafter the 'Commission') is reviewing the procedures for issuing 'Schengen' visas and would like to hear your views on them. The idea is to modernise the current visa policy and your input via this public consultation will help us to make the right changes.
