What do you do if you are the very first EU Youth Advisory Board (YAB) to be established in Eswatini and you have no reference point in the form of a previous board? Do you hit the ground running and hope for the best or do you spend much of your three-year term coming to terms with your new-found role?

On 06 June 2026, the European Union (EU) in Eswatini continued to commemorate its 50 years of partnership with the Kingdom of Eswatini by bringing together more than 100 young people from Mbabane, Siphocosini and Nhlambeni for the Emaswati Skate competition held at the EU-supported Lafezeka Skate Park in Mbabane.

It was all fun and excitement as more than 600 high school learners gathered on 28 May 2026 at House on Fire in Malkerns to showcase their artistic talents in the 2026 edition of the EU Bushfire Schools Festival.

On 27 May 2026, the European Union (EU) in Eswatini launched the 26 th edition of the EU Green Week under the theme: “Investing in a Nature-Positive Economy - Youth Leading Sustainability, Celebrating 50 Years of Partnership in Environmental Sustainability.”
