2025 European Film Festival in Eswatini
During this screening held at Movie Zone at Ezulwini, the crowd was kept spellbound throughout this youth inspired movie.
Also present during the screening was EU Ambassador to Eswatini, Karsten Mecklenburg, who welcomed the attendees, Irish Charge d’Affaires, Aileen O’Donovan, who introduced the Irish film and UK High Commissioner to Eswatini, Colin Wells.
The festival will continue on 18 – 21 September 2025 in Mbabane, with movie screenings at Mbabane Theatre Club and Alliance Francaise.
One of the films to look forward to is Swedish movie, I am Zlatan, a film about Swedish football superstar, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a highly-decorated centre forward who, during his active career, played for top European soccer teams such as Ajax Amsterdam (The Netherlands), Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan (all Italy), Barcelona (Spain), Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) (France) and Manchester United (UK), accumulating over 560 goals for both club and country until 2023 when he retired. This movie will be shown on 20 September at Alliance Francaise in Mbabane.
