Rebuilding Public Health Services in Senafe, Debub Region

#Senafe Health Center

In the aftermath of the Eritrea-Ethiopia border war (1998-2000), Senafe, a border town, faced immense challenges with destroyed healthcare facilities and disrupted social services. Recognizing the urgent need for recovery, the Government of Eritrea partnered with the United Nations and the European Union, which generously contributed 1,016,500 Euros. From April 24, 2008, to December 4, 2011, this collaboration resulted in the construction of a new district hospital in Senafe. With an 85-bed capacity and comprehensive facilities, the hospital now serves around 100,000 residents, symbolizing hope and resilience. This video highlights the positive change brought by the EU's support in rebuilding Senafe's healthcare services.  Video link: https://youtu.be/xwpqaUNHD-8
