EU Ambassador Eichhorst Celebrates Suez Canal Excellence Day in Ismailia

During her first official visit to Ismailia, EU Ambassador Angelina Eichhorst together with the Heads of Missions of EU Member States met with Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Governor of Ismailia Major General Akram Galal, and Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority Admiral Osama Rabie with the aim of exploring opportunities for cooperation and investment between the Authority, the EU, and its member states.
Marking the Suez Canal Authority's Excellence Day, the ceremony also witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and MoU promoting sustainability and green transition with EU partners, mainly companies from Spain and Greece.
The event was attended by ambassadors from Croatia, Cyprus, the Republic of Czech, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Sweden, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Portugal, and Romania, along with deputy ambassadors from Finland, France, Germany, and Spain.
The visit concluded with a tour of the Suez Canal Museum and the De Lesseps House in Ismailia highlighting EU-Egypt cooperation in areas of trade, transport, and sustainable development.
