On 23 April, a seminar on the perspectives and methods of organizing joint master’s programs in cooperation with European universities was held in Tashkent.

The seminar was held at the request of National Team of Higher Education Reform Experts under the MHSSE with the support of the National Erasmus+ Office. It involved all regions of Uzbekistan, 7 universities of Kazakhstan, and the national higher education reform experts. Professor Girotti from Bologna University attended the seminar to share his extensive experience on the topic.
The Head of Political, Press and Information section of EU Delegation to Uzbekistan, Jussi Narvi took part in the opening. He encouraged Uzbekistan to participate in the work of the Bologna Process whenever an opportunity presents itselfpossible and to adhere to its principles, in particular by ratifying the Lisbon Convention on mutual recognition of diplomas. He recalled that this year EU and Uzbekistan are celebrating the 25 anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the EU and Uzbekistan and the European Union has been supporting to Uzbekistan's education reform process since the very beginning. He also announced the launch of 2019 Call for Individual Fellowships of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) for researchers who have a doctoral degree or at least four years’ full-time research experience. The deadline for applying is set on 11 September 2019.
