Summary of the Action

Overall objective

The overall objective is to improve the social cohesion of Syrian under Temporary Protection (SuTP) youth with the Turkish society.

Specific objective(s)

Specific objectives:

1.Provide additional infrastructure capacities

2.Improve the implementation capacity of the MoYS/PIU

3.Increase the awareness for the Action as well as Turkish Youth and Sport

Programmes and their value for the social cohesion.

Location

Envisaged provinces: Adana, Adiyaman, Batman, Bursa, Gaziantep, Hatay, Kahramanmaras, Kilis, Malatya, Mardin,Osmaniye, Sanliurfa

Target groups

    

The target group of the Action will be Syrian and Turkish children and youth at the age of 6 – 30 (above 30 in sports activities)

Expected results

  • Additional recreational infrastructure capacities
  • Smooth project implementation in line with standards and procedures agreed between MoYS and KfW
  • People are aware of the action as well as other Youth and Sport Programmes and their value for the social cohesion

Main activities

  • Selection of at minimum 26 facilities; preparation of design and tender documents; construction supervision; construction works and installation of equipment;
  • Procurement of experts to support the MoYS/PIU
  • Awareness raising and communications and visibility activities.
