¿Are you a young graduate interested in international relations?  
¿Are you curious to learn more about work in a diplomatic mission and how an EU Delegation represents EU interests and values in Ecuador?

What do we offer?
A traineeship of maximum 6 months within the Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation in Ecuador, from July 1st to December 31st, 2018.

Main tasks:

  • Participate in meetings related to solid waste disposal integral handling and support several related activities in coordination with the tutor.
  • Support the tutor in specific coordination topics of Human Rights and Civil Society projects
  • Support the work of gender projects and participate in the meetings of the Gender Thematic Table in coordination with the tutor
  • Organization of several material from regional programs and thematic lines (climate change, Civil Society, among others) arriving from UE headquarters and process it according to instructions received from the tutor
  • Investigate on environment issues, economic development of the Northern border,  youth employment, among other subjects
  • Support in the production of visibility material, projects files, brochures
  • Support in written translations (English/Spanish)
  • Support in the Delegation's organization of several public events related to cooperation, politics, trade, etc.
  • Support in the organization and labelling of closed projects files
  • Other activities in the Cooperation Section defined between the intern and the tutor

Before applying you are requested to examine the general eligibility criteria for traineeships (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 - Paid traineeship for young graduates).

Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. However costs related to travel, insurance, accommodation and visa must be borne by the trainee.

Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his/her candidacy will be rejected.
