The EU Delegation to the Council of Europe celebrates the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace

On the occasion of the International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace on 24 April, the EU Delegation to the Council of Europe took part in a video by the European External Action Service (EEAS) that underscores the power of multilateralism in solving global challenges.

The video highlights the importance of countries working together through international organisations, such as the Council of Europe, the United Nations, and regional alliances. As the EU continues to champion this approach, its collaboration with global partners in cities like Strasbourg, Addis Ababa, and Jakarta plays a vital role in addressing issues like climate change, poverty, and human rights.

The video is a powerful reminder that only through genuine cooperation can we protect peace, democracy, and international law. As we celebrate significant anniversaries in 2025 – 80 years of the UN Charter, 25 years of the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights, and 75 years of the European Convention on Human Rights – the message rings clear: a safer, fairer world is built by working together.
