On 22 October 2018, the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) published the second call for proposals for year 2018 under the EU-China Co-funding Mechanism for Research and Innovation (CFM), as part of the "Key Project on Intergovernmental International Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Cooperation/STI Cooperation with Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan" of China's National Key R&D Programme (NKP). The call seeks applications by China-based full participants in Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018 proposals addressing nine broad priority areas for which around 15 projects are expected to be funded for a total budget of CNY50 million: new generation information network; intelligent and green manufacturing; safe, clean and efficient energy; advanced, effective, safe and convenient health technologies; marine equipment; space; new materials; large research infrastructures; and public security.
