On Europe Day, the Delegation of the European Union to China on 9 May 2023 held a reception at its premises.

The EU Ambassador to China Jorge Toledo hosted the event and addressed guests from Chinese government bodies, diplomatic community and other partners – Ambassador Toledo’s speech is available in link to speech. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Deng Li attended the event. 

During the reception, the EU Delegation to China, in collaboration with diplomatic missions of the EU Member States in Beijing, presented stage performances of European music, including from Croatia, Czech Republic, Italy, and Romania, as well as a cultural exhibition.

The event also had the participation of several projects of the Trade Section and Cooperation Section of the EU Delegation, including the 30^th anniversary of the EU Single Market, IP Key, EU SME Centre, SPEAC, and SWITCH Asia (Food Waste Reduction).

This Europe Day's reception received the support of the European Investment Bank, Assagi Group, DP Group, Pernod Ricard China, Hoegaarden China, Madeira Wine, Yantai Changyu Wine, the Interprofessional Association of Iberian Pig, and Fazioli.
