On 20 February, Ambassador Toledo spoke on Past, Present and Future EU-China Relations at a seminar organised by China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), an opportunity of dialogue with students, professors and the European business and diplomatic community to think together about EU-China relations. 
On 21 February, he had meetings with the Consuls General and Trade Counsellors of EU Member States, to exchange views on EU-China relations, and the Shanghai Chapter of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, on China's business operating environment. Ambassador Toledo also had the chance to meet with the Shanghai Institute for European Studies president Prof Ding Chun and other scholars, to share EU’s views on pressing topics of bilateral relations and encouraged more exchanges.
