Thirteenth repatriation flight left Banjul

07.06.2020

EU Delegation in Banjul, The Gambia, successfully implemented another round of consular coordination and had its thirteenth repatriation flight left Banjul, this time for Stockholm.

Since the suspension of commercial flights mid-March, in total, more than 2,300 European citizens from 24 European countries have been airlifted to Europe. All these were possible due to the dedication and professionalism of EU Member States and countries' consular capacities acting in a true European spirit, supported also by the frontline workers at the Banjul International Airport representing the host country`s competent authorities and services like Foreign Affairs, Immigration, Airport Security, Air Aviation Security and the ground handling company. The EU Delegation in Banjul is very proud to have been part of this unflinching cooperation.
