La iniciativa -que se desarrolla en el marco del programa WIN-WIN, financiado por la Unión Europea, implementado por ONU Mujeres y OIT- nace del trabajo conjunto por eliminar la discriminación en el mundo laboral, y cuenta con más de 2 mil empresas firmantes en todo el mundo.

High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini has presented the third progress report on the implementation of the European Union Global Strategy, “The EU Global Strategy in Practice - Three years on, looking forward”, which will be discussed by the EU Foreign and Defence Ministers at the Foreign Affairs Council on 17 June 2019 in Luxembourg. The report looks at the progress achieved over the past three years, since the presentation of the Global Strategy in June 2016, in five priority areas - the security of the Union, state and social resilience to our east and south, an integrated approach to conflicts and crises, cooperative regional orders and global governance for the 21st century - and provides possible orientations for the way forward in the coming years.

Today, an estimated 152 million children are victims of child labour worldwide. These 152 million children are being denied their right to have access to education and to a safe living environment. On the occasion of the World Day against Child Labour on 12 June, the European Union, alongside its international partners, reiterates its strong commitment towards guaranteeing the fundamental human rights of every child, as defined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development target to end child labour in all its forms by 2025.

The EU High Representative and the Foreign Ministers of Portugal and Uruguay, in representation of the International Contact Group (ICG), met today in New York with the Foreign Ministers of Canada, Peru and Chile, in representation of the Lima group, to discuss the situation in Venezuela. This is part of the ICG’s decision to intensify diplomatic engagement with relevant players in the international community.

La alta representante de la UE y los ministros de Asuntos Exteriores de Portugal y Uruguay, en representación del Grupo de Contacto Internacional (GCI), se han reunido hoy en Nueva York con los ministros de Asuntos Exteriores de Canadá, Perú y Chile, en representación del Grupo de Lima, para debatir la situación en Venezuela. Ello forma parte de la decisión del GCI de intensificar los contactos diplomáticos con los interlocutores pertinentes de la comunidad internacional.

Lanzamiento 21º Festival de Cine Europeo

Con la presencia del Subsecretario del Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio, Juan Carlos Silva; la Embajadora de la Unión Europea, Stella Zervoudaki; Embajadores de los Estados Miembros UE; el Director Ejecutivo del Centro Cultural GAM, Felipe Mella e invitados internacionales, se realizó el Lanzamiento del 21º Festival de Cine Europeo que desde el 30 de mayo al 16 de junio recorre Chile de forma gratuita.
