In this year’s Schuman Lecture, Ms Lynette Wood, incoming First Assistant Secretary, Europe and Latin America Division, will consider the roles that Australia and the European Union play – individually and together – in developing and delivering responses to prevailing challenges in the region and further afield.

Presented by the ANU Centre for European Studies with the support of the Erasmus plus Programme of the European Union.

As 2021 draws to a close, communities around the world face many and varied challenges requiring fresh and innovative responses. In September 2021, the EU announced its Strategy for Cooperation in the Indo-Pacific. Australia continues to be a significant actor in this region. In this year’s Schuman Lecture, Ms Lynette Wood, incoming First Assistant Secretary, Europe and Latin America Division, will consider the roles that Australia and the European Union play – individually and together – in developing and delivering responses to prevailing challenges in the region and further afield.
